Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala will be starting her next International Tennis Federation (ITF) singles event in India on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old, currently ranked 187th by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) will face off against Hungary’s Fanny Stollár in the round of 32 on Wednesday.
Eala was fresh off appearances in the Canberra International, where she was able to advance to the doubles’ semifinals with Olympic medalist Laura Pigossi, and the Australian Open qualifiers.
For the doubles event, she is paired with Darja Semenistaja of Latvia, where they will face off against Japan’s Eri Shimizu and Chinese Taipei’s Li Yu-yun in the round of 16 on Tuesday.
