MANILA, Philippines: Decorated coach Roger Gorayeb is making a coaching comeback in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
Gorayeb will be handling the newest team in the pro league Capital1 Solar Energy which took the vacated spot of the disbanded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
The sexagenarian is set to handle the Capital1 Power Spikers who will have an open tryout on Tuesday and Wednesday at the San Sebastian College – Recoletos (SSC-R) Gym.
Gorayeb coaches the said school, his alma mater, at the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament.
Gorayeb’s last PVL stint was back at the 2021 PVL Open Conference when he coached the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
He left the team in 2022, ending an 8-year run with the franchise which he led to a pair of championships when PVL was still carrying the name Shakey’s V-League.
Gorayeb also led the now-defunct BaliPure to the 2017 PVL Open Conference championship.
